Role: Performs diagnostic sleep studies including polysomnography (PSG), titration, MSLT, HST, and MWT to assist in diagnosing sleep/wake disorders.
Responsibilities: Records accurate data for physicians, educates patients on therapies, follows up as needed, troubleshoots equipment, and monitors patient progress. Maintains detailed documentation per facility and accrediting standards, understanding sleep testing equipment, anatomy, and physiology. May supervise students or staff and participate in scoring studies.
Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited program in Electroneurodiagnostic Technology, Respiratory Therapy, or related field preferred. Minimum two years’ experience in Sleep Disorders preferred. Knowledge of sleep disorders, electrical safety, and computer skills required. RRTs must obtain RPSGT or SDS credential within two years or be enrolled in accredited training. North Dakota license requirement applies. BLS certification required within 60 days.
