- Conducts diagnostic evaluations and designs individualized treatment plans to enhance patients' functional abilities.
- Provides therapy to improve strength, range of motion, coordination, and cognitive skills, including sensor-motor integration and neurorehabilitation.
- Designs, fabricates, and implements adaptive equipment, splints, slings, and environmental modifications.
- Educates patients and families on self-care techniques, energy conservation, safety, and use of assistive devices.
- Participates in home assessments, pre-vocational programs, and patient support groups.
- Maintains accurate patient records and reports.
- Collaborates with team members and complies with safety, privacy, and community policies.
- Bachelor’s degree in occupational therapy and current registration with the American Occupational Therapy Association.
- Preferred one year of experience, strong leadership, customer service skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office and adaptive tools.
- Ability to make independent decisions, evaluate social situations, and work effectively with residents and teams.
- Knowledge of infection control, resident rights, and confidentiality (HIPAA).
- Ability to assess, plan, and implement therapy programs for diverse patient needs.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and active listening skills.
- Commitment to safety, resident dignity, and team collaboration.
