This role includes providing clinical supervision to nursing assistants, ensuring continuity of care, and serving as a key resource for residents, families, and staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise CNAs/STNAs and other direct care staff
- Plan, assign, and direct work based on resident needs and staff capabilities
- Prepare and adjust work assignments and staffing levels for resident safety
- Coordinate staffing needs and handle replacements as necessary
- Complete performance evaluations for staff
- Manage staff break schedules and resolve concerns using independent judgment within legal and policy guidelines
- 1-2 years of experience in long-term or sub-acute care preferred
- Current state license as an LPN
- CPR certification (within 90 days if not already certified)
