Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as lead counsel on workers' compensation and employment defense cases, from inception through resolution or trial.
- Oversee case strategy, discovery, motion practice, and trial preparation.
- Represent clients in hearings, depositions, mediations, and trials before state and federal courts.
- Supervise, mentor, and collaborate with associate attorneys and support staff.
- Communicate effectively with clients, insurance carriers, and third-party administrators to provide timely case updates and strategic guidance.
- Identify opportunities for cost-effective resolution and implement efficient case management strategies.
- Maintain high ethical and professional standards while delivering superior client service.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
- Active California Bar membership (or eligibility and willingness to obtain).
- 5 years of litigation experience, preferably in workers' compensation, employment defense, or related practice areas.
- Demonstrated experience in managing complex litigation and handling cases independently.
- Exceptional legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
- Strong leadership, mentorship, and communication abilities.
- Proven record of client relationship management and business development is preferred.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
