The Alpha Group is looking for energetic and caring people to provide Job Coaching for individuals with developmental disabilities!

• Help people learn to perform job tasks and teach the interpersonal skills necessary for successful employment
• Communicate with clients to understand their goals and ambitions and advocate for them in the workplace
• $17-$19 per hour, flexible scheduling, paid training provided

Essential Functions:

• Develop customized and effective job coaching and employment plans
• Communicate with clients to understand their goals and ambitions
• Attend client team meetings as scheduled
• Counsel clients on fine-tuning work habits/skills in preparation for integrated competitive employment
• Assess the strengths of individuals and teach them to use them effectively in the job site
• Guide clients in learning to complete job tasks to meet employer expectations
• Advise and advocate for workplace accommodations for people with disabilities
• Monitor and evaluate progress of clients
• Keep records and documentation and prepare appropriate reports. Write Progress Notes, Weekly Job Coaching Reports, Task Analysis.
• Submit required documentation in a timely manner
• Communicate with other coaches and coordinators as needed
• Attend Job Coach Trainings and committee meetings
• Ensure all safety procedures are followed at each job sit
• Visit job and/or internship site(s) and meet with individuals with disabilities on-site, as scheduled, including evenings and weekends
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities preferred
• Compassionate, patient, and dependable
• Ability to follow support plans and communicate clearly with team members
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries
• Must have conflict resolution and organizational skills
• Must be at least 18 years old
• Must have a high school diploma or GED
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred
• Must be willing and able to travel to various job sites
• Ability to pass background checks and required screenings
• Must remain in compliance with all regulatory standards governing program services, including appropriate trainings
• Must have or obtain First Aid/CPR/AED training certification
• Must be able to read, write, and understand English
• Must be able to lift at least 50lbs on a regular basis
• Must have the ability to be flexible with schedule, if needed
