The Alpha Group is looking for energetic and caring people to provide Job Coaching for individuals with developmental disabilities!
- Help people learn to perform job tasks and teach the interpersonal skills necessary for successful employment
- Communicate with clients to understand their goals and ambitions and advocate for them in the workplace
- $17-$19 per hour, flexible scheduling, paid training provided

Essential Functions:
- Develop customized and effective job coaching and employment plans
- Communicate with clients to understand their goals and ambitions
- Attend client team meetings as scheduled
- Counsel clients on fine-tuning work habits/skills in preparation for integrated competitive employment
- Assess the strengths of individuals and teach them to use them effectively in the job site
- Guide clients in learning to complete job tasks to meet employer expectations
- Advise and advocate for workplace accommodations for people with disabilities
- Monitor and evaluate progress of clients
- Keep records and documentation and prepare appropriate reports. Write Progress Notes, Weekly Job Coaching Reports, Task Analysis.
- Submit required documentation in a timely manner
- Communicate with other coaches and coordinators as needed
- Attend Job Coach Trainings and committee meetings
- Ensure all safety procedures are followed at each job sit
- Visit job and/or internship site(s) and meet with individuals with disabilities on-site, as scheduled, including evenings and weekends
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities preferred
- Compassionate, patient, and dependable
- Ability to follow support plans and communicate clearly with team members
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries
- Must have conflict resolution and organizational skills
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Must have a high school diploma or GED
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred
- Must be willing and able to travel to various job sites
- Ability to pass background checks and required screenings
- Must remain in compliance with all regulatory standards governing program services, including appropriate trainings
- Must have or obtain First Aid/CPR/AED training certification
- Must be able to read, write, and understand English
- Must be able to lift at least 50lbs on a regular basis
- Must have the ability to be flexible with schedule, if needed
