JOB SUMMARY:

The Pressure Washing Specialist is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation across various areas of a farm-style environment. This role focuses on operating pressure washing equipment to ensure that all farm facilities, equipment, and animal enclosures meet high standards of hygiene and cleanliness essential for farm operations.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Pressure Washer Specialist must be able to perform the following tasks with minimal supervision:

• Operate Pressure Washing Equipment: Effectively use pressure washers and hoses to clean barns, animal housing, equipment, and outdoor areas.
• Routine Cleaning: Perform regular and thorough cleaning of livestock enclosures, feeding areas, and operational surfaces to prevent contamination and ensure animal welfare.
• Disinfecting: Utilize appropriate cleaning agents and disinfectants during pressure washing to ensure all surfaces are hygienic and safe for animal health.
• Maintenance of Equipment: Conduct regular checks on pressure washing equipment, troubleshoot minor mechanical issues, and keep equipment in good working condition.
• Inventory Management: Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies, chemicals, and equipment; notify management of low stock levels as needed.
• Debris Removal: Clear debris and waste from farm areas, ensuring pathways and workspaces are safe and accessible.
• Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of cleaning schedules, tasks completed, and any maintenance performed on equipment.
• Safety Compliance: Follow safety protocols and guidelines while using cleaning chemicals and operating equipment. Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Report Issues: Communicate any issues identified during cleaning, such as damages or health concerns related to animals, to the appropriate personnel.
• Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with farm staff to coordinate cleaning schedules and support farm operations.
• Flexibility: Be available to work flexible hours, including weekends, and assist with additional farm duties as needed.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

· Proven experience in outdoor working environments

· Ability to pressure wash and keep areas clean and tidy

· Good organizational skills

· Basic verbal, written, and math skills

· Ability to work in a team environment

· Ability to work unsupervised

EDUCATION:

High School diploma/GED required

CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

South Carolina Driver’s License or equivalent

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Must be able to read and write, and interpret documents including task descriptions, standard operating procedures, and other instructions.

REASONING ABILITY:

Able to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
