Position Overview
Reporting to the Director, Finance the Financial Analyst will support financial forecasting and analysis efforts within AlphaGen, including modeling, planning, budgeting, reporting, and strategic decision support for the Executive Leadership Teams at AlphaGen and its investors.

Role And Key Responsibilities
- Provides financial analysis to support AlphaGen’s strategic business decisions, including pricing, investment, cost control, and efficiency initiatives.
- Partners with other AlphaGen finance, accounting, operations and commercial team members for the development and management of annual budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial plans.
- Monitors AlphaGen’s performance against forecasts and budgets, determining and reporting variances, risks, and potential opportunities.
- Prepares accurate and timely financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual results for AlphaGen’s Executive Leadership Team and investors.
- Develop and implement strategies for cost control and revenue optimization.
- Supports financing efforts and other capital market initiatives, including new debt issuances, refinancings, and consolidation of legacy debt facilities.
- Partners with Treasury team on cash flow forecasting and analyses, ensuring sufficient liquidity, favorable cost of capital, efficient management of working capital, and compliance with debt covenants.
- Creates, manages, and maintains financial models to assess risk related to power markets and plant operations.
- Aids in the development of financial strategies related to potential power generation projects, mergers, acquisitions, and partnerships.
- Contributes financial expertise to investment, financing, and liquidity decisions, and potential asset acquisition and divestiture plans.
- 3 years of experience in financial role, preferably within the energy or utilities sector.
- Strong understanding of finance, including significant experience with financial modeling and forecasting impacts to income and cash flow, preferably within a power generation or energy-related environment.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels and across different teams.
- Demonstrated ability to simultaneously manage non-recurring and recurring deliverables.
- Professional certification such as CPA, CFA, or CMA is desirable.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business, or a related field (Master’s degree or MBA is preferable but not required).
