Duties
- Greet customers warmly and provide outstanding service to enhance their shopping experience
- Operate the cash register (POS system) accurately for retail sales transactions, including cash handling and drawer balancing
- Conduct product demonstrations and upselling to promote featured items and increase sales revenue
- Assist with stocking shelves, merchandising displays, and maintaining store organization to ensure an inviting shopping environment
- Utilize strong communication skills to answer customer inquiries via phone and in person with professionalism and clarity
- Support inventory management by monitoring stock levels, processing shipments, and participating in stock replenishment activities
- Demonstrate product knowledge to educate customers on features, benefits, and usage of various items
Experience
- Previous retail sales experience is preferred but not required; a passion for customer service is essential
- Familiarity with POS systems, cash register operations, and retail math calculations
- Supervising experience is a plus, demonstrating leadership skills in guiding team members or managing store tasks
- Bilingual abilities are highly valued to effectively serve diverse customer bases
- Strong communication skills, including phone etiquette and active listening skills
- Ability to handle multiple responsibilities such as merchandising, cashiering, and customer assistance simultaneously
- Basic math skills for cash handling, sales calculations, and inventory counts
