ALPHA Facilities Solutions is seeking a highly qualified Information Technology Technician to support the Directorate of Public Works (DPW) at an Army Installation based in Richmond, VA. This role is critical for ensuring the cybersecurity, compliance, and operational efficiency of IT systems for Housing and other installation facilities. The successful candidate will manage system security, perform continuous monitoring, and act as the primary user for Army-specific IT compliance tracking applications.

Job Summary:
- Cybersecurity Implementation: Implement and maintain Government cybersecurity requirements for complex IT systems, including networks, servers, and workstations.
- Compliance Management: Execute Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA) compliance requirements to ensure data and system integrity.
- Continuous Monitoring: Perform recurring system monitoring tasks, including Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) scanning and Security Content Automation Protocol (SCAP) scanning.
- Risk Mitigation: Develop and maintain Plans of Action and Milestones (POAMs) to identify, track, and remediate system vulnerabilities.
- System Administration: Gaining access to and serving as the primary user for Army systems, including Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS) and the Army Portfolio Management Solution (APMS).
- Inventory and Training Oversight: Track and manage the inventory of all hardware and software while monitoring worker IT training and certification requirements to ensure 100% compliance.
- Technical Support: Provide troubleshooting and problem resolution for staff members and assist with specialized applications such as Utility Management and Control Systems (UMCS) and Microsoft Access databases.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Minimum of a High School diploma AND a bachelor’s degree in computer science, Cybersecurity, or a related IT focus.
- Experience: At least 5 years of professional experience in a position focused on cybersecurity or IT systems management on a daily basis.
- Language Skills: Superior command of the English language (written and spoken) to effectively communicate with co-workers, customers, and the general public via telephone, email, or in person.
- Software Proficiency: Expert working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook). Responsible for possessing and maintaining current working knowledge of all required software such as Microsoft Office software.
- Security: Must possess or be able to obtain a National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI) clearance and maintain the required security level for the duration of the contract.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience utilizing eMASS (Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service).
- Prior experience with APMS (Army Portfolio Management Solution).
- Familiarity with Army-specific regulations and Information Assurance (IA) requirements (IAW DODD 8570).
Physical and Work Environment
- Primary Office: Building 1654, Fort Walker, VA.
- Hours: Standard operation hours are 0700 to 1700, Monday through Friday, with potential shift scheduling as required by the mission.
- Documentation: Must maintain a valid Real ID and Virginia Driver’s License.
