Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and adaptable Travel MRI Technologist to join Alpha Clinical Experts. This position is operating a Siemens magnet, Athena EMR, and Phillips iSuite PACS. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise in MRI procedures and a comprehensive understanding of medical imaging principles, ensuring accurate diagnostics and patient safety. The role requires flexibility, excellent communication skills, and the ability to adapt to critical access hospital environments while maintaining high standards of care.
Duties
- Perform high-quality MRI scans and assist with X-rays
- Apply thorough knowledge of anatomy and physiology to optimize imaging protocols tailored to individual patient needs.
- Utilize medical terminology accurately for documentation and communication with healthcare professionals.
- Maintain aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety and prevent infections during imaging procedures.
- Conduct diagnostic evaluations by capturing precise images for radiologists' review, ensuring clarity and diagnostic utility.
- Operate and troubleshoot MRI equipment efficiently, adhering to safety standards and manufacturer guidelines.
- Assist in the preparation of patients by explaining procedures, positioning them correctly, and addressing concerns compassionately.
- Ensure all imaging procedures comply with hospital policies, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain detailed records of imaging procedures performed, including technical parameters and patient information.
Experience
- Proven experience and licensed MRI.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology relevant to diagnostic imaging.
- Familiarity with aseptic techniques and infection control practices within clinical environments.
- Prior experience working in diverse healthcare settings or travel assignments is advantageous but not mandatory.
