What are the responsibilities and job description for the Manufacturing Intern position at Alpha Additive, LLC?
Alpha Additive is looking for a part time intern to assist with manufacturing, assembly, 3d printing, and office organization. The position will be 20hr - 30hr/week for a minimum of 3 months.
Tasks would include but are not limited to:
- Assist with assembling large 3D printers and industrial machines
- Help keep office supplies organized
- Assist with inventory
- Assist with receiving and sending packages/shipments
- Oversee 3D print jobs
- Assist with ordering components
- CNC machine - job start and stop
- Load CNC router and lathe with material
- Change shop filters
- Assist with shop maintenance
The ideal candidate would be:
- Available 2-3 days per week and between 20 and 30hrs per week
- Reliable
- Responsible
- Interested in machining, fabrication, 3d printing, or engineering
- Familiar with or has experience using power tools
- Familiar with or has experience with using the metric system
- Comfortable working with others
- Not afraid to learn and master new skills
- Is attention to detail oriented
- Capable of taking precise measuremnets and reading skematic drawings
Qualifications (beneficial but not required)
- Studying or degree in engineering
- Studying or work experience with CNC's, Routers, Lathes, Mills
- Experience with CAD, CAM, or other design software
