What are the responsibilities and job description for the Primary Therapist - Adolescent IOP position at Alpha 180 LLC?
The Adolescent Therapist supervises the course of treatment for adolescent clients at Alpha Behavioral Health. Our Adolescent IOP serves high school-aged students with mental health and co-occurring substance use challenges. We are seeking a passionate individual to provide group, individual, and family therapy services.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Therapist functions:
- Ensures each client has a service plan according to standards.
- Facilitates clinical groups and conducts individual therapy.
- Practices effective clinical strategies in the treatment of chemical dependency.
- Responsible for developing, implementing, and evaluating all aspects of program delivery to provide the highest level of care for all clients.
- Aids clients and families in the development of discharge plans.
- Monitors client medications with consulting physician and psychiatrist as needed.
- Ensures a complete and accurate medical records system is maintained according to standards including all clinical notes.
- Contacts family, guarantors, referents, physicians, probation officers, and other third parties as appropriate according to standards.
- Fosters a success-oriented environment.
- Maintains all required credentials.
Managerial functions:
- Coordinates with admissions team, residential team, and clinical team for new admissions.
- Oversees referent contact process for clinical team.
- Manages crisis interventions with all departments, clients and families.
- Manages the client milieu and culture of program.
- Insurance billing: Coordinates with financial department, insurance billing company, individual carriers, and clinical department to appropriately enroll clients in services and bill clients’ insurance carriers for services. Mark Attendance for IOP/OP daily. Be very detail-oriented around Admission/Stepdown/Discharging clients.
- Manage IOP/OP program and staffing for groups/individuals.
- Manage client roster as well as on call calendar.
- Supervise clinical staff and clinical interns when needed.
- Provides positive leadership to inspire and support the clinical team and ensure efficient day-to-day operations.
Additional Functions:
- Prepares reports on client progress as necessary.
- Acts as the liaison for scheduling external consultants and providers with approval from the Clinical Director.
- Promotes programs and services.
- Participates in site visits.
- Makes recommendations on strategies for program sustainability and growth.
- Provides mentoring as the cornerstone to employee development.
- Is available outside of regular business hours for consultation as needed.
- Other related duties as assigned.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $47,500.00 - $60,000.00 per year
