Love coffee and wrenching on equipment? Alpen Sierra Coffee Roasting Company is looking for a hands-on Equipment Service Technician to keep the espresso machines, grinders, and brewers at our wholesale partners dialed in. You’ll be the go-to expert who makes sure every cup we serve, and every cup our partners serve, is brewed on equipment that’s running at its best.
What you’ll do
- Install, maintain, and repair commercial coffee equipment, including espresso machines, grinders, batch brewers, and water filtration systems, at our wholesale accounts.
- Maintain a preventative maintenance program for our wholesale customers, including scheduled service visits and water filter replacements.
- Diagnose and resolve equipment issues quickly, working closely with our Wholesale Client Services team to keep customers up and running.
- Grow our service business by offering equipment repair and maintenance to cafés, restaurants, and other businesses across our region.
- Keep accurate service records and co-manage our inventory of equipment and spare parts.
- Keep the service shop clean and organized, maintain and repair our in-roastery equipment when needed;
- During slower periods, support production in processing and packaging clients’ orders and deliveries when needed.
What we’re looking for
- Experience servicing commercial coffee or foodservice equipment (espresso machine experience strongly preferred).
- Solid mechanical, electrical, and plumbing troubleshooting skills.
- A self-starter who can manage a schedule, prioritize service calls, and work independently in the field.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- A commitment to learning; manufacturer training and certifications provided, and we’ll support your continued growth.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in tight spaces behind counters.
