What are the responsibilities and job description for the General Cleaner position at Aloysius Janitorial Services?
Key Responsibilities (3pm-11pm Tuesday-Saturday)
- Clean and sanitize high-traffic areas including terminals, gates, seating areas, escalators, and elevators
- Perform frequent restroom cleaning and restocking (multiple times per shift)
- Sweep, mop, and maintain floors using commercial equipment (auto scrubbers, buffers, vacuums)
- Empty trash and recycling containers and transport waste to designated areas
- Clean glass surfaces, windows, and touchpoints (handrails, kiosks, counters)
- Respond to immediate cleaning needs such as spills, biohazards, or passenger incidents
- Follow infection control and disinfection protocols, especially in high-contact zones
- Maintain cleanliness of TSA/security areas while complying with restricted access rules
- Report safety hazards, maintenance issues, or suspicious activity
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, airport authority, and TSA regulations
