Compensation
Salary Range: $90,000 – $100,000 per year, plus potential for performance-based bonus opportunities.

As we continue to expand our network of clinics and community programs, we are seeking a Director of Talent Acquisition to lead our recruiting strategy and help us grow our mission-driven workforce.

Position Overview
The Director of Talent Acquisition is responsible for leading and scaling all aspects of Alongside ABA's recruitment function, including workforce planning, team leadership, recruitment operations, and strategic sourcing. This individual will ensure that hiring processes are efficient, equitable, and compliant with all applicable federal, state, and local employment laws, including California's Fair Employment and Housing Act (FEHA).

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive, California-compliant talent acquisition strategy to support organizational growth and clinic expansion.
  • Lead, coach, and mentor a team of recruiters and coordinators responsible for high-volume hiring across multiple locations.
  • Collaborate with HR and Operations leaders to forecast staffing needs and ensure alignment with company goals.
  • Oversee implementation and optimization of the Applicant Tracking System (ATS), job descriptions, and standardized interview practices.
  • Promote equitable and inclusive hiring practices consistent with DEI initiatives and legal requirements.
  • Partner with universities, community organizations, and certification programs to build diverse candidate pipelines.
  • Manage recruiting metrics, analytics, and reporting to identify trends and improve outcomes.
  • Collaborate with HR on onboarding, credentialing, and compliance workflows.
  • Maintain full compliance with all federal and California employment laws, including wage transparency, recordkeeping, and anti-discrimination standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (Master's preferred).
  • Minimum 7 years of progressive experience in recruitment or talent acquisition, including 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Experience recruiting in healthcare, behavioral health, or educational services preferred.
  • Demonstrated success managing high-volume, multi-site recruitment in California.
  • Strong understanding of California labor and employment laws.
  • Proficiency with ATS platforms (e.g., Paylocity, BambooHR, JazzHR) and sourcing tools.
  • Exceptional communication, leadership, and analytical skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to build scalable hiring systems and improve recruiter performance.
