Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Press Brake Setup/Operator to join our manufacturing team. We are searching for a candidate who can program, set up and operator an Accurpress Press brake with an ETS3 3000 control. The programs are created at the machine on the ETS 3000 control.
Duties
- Set up and operate press brake machines to produce high-quality sheet metal parts according to blueprints and specifications
- Program CNC press brakes
- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and GD&T specifications to ensure accurate fabrication
- Adjust tooling, dies, and machine parameters for optimal performance and precision
- Conduct quality inspections using micrometers, calipers, precision measuring instruments, and other tools to verify dimensions and tolerances
- Coordinate with fabrication teams for assembly processes and ensure adherence to safety standards
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency
Requirements
- Proven experience operating press brake machines with knowledge of CNC programming and setup procedures
- Familiarity with CNC laser cutting, plasma cutting, CNC milling machines, CNC lathe, stamping presses, electrical discharge machining (EDM), and fabrication techniques
- Strong understanding of blueprint reading, GD&T principles, and mechanical drawing interpretation
- Ability to use hand tools such as calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments for quality inspection
- Mechanical knowledge related to tooling setup, machining processes, welding, assembly, and sheet metal fabrication
- Basic math skills necessary for measurements and calculations during setup and production processes
- Experience with safety protocols involving cranes or forklifts in a manufacturing setting
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Prior experience in manufacturing or machining environments is preferred
