Position: Forestry Worker
Requirements: Must be 18 due to travel. Must show proof of legal authority to work in the U.S. Drug/Alcohol/Tobacco free work zone. Must walk substantially (up to 15 miles/day), also stoop, bend while carrying a pack (up to 55lbs) thru rough terrain (non-trail). Must have 2 months Commercial Brushsaw/Chainsaw experience. No minimum education requirement. All applicants must be able, willing and qualified to perform work described and must be available for the entire period specified and work throughout all areas of intended employment. Possible background check post hire at employer's expense.
Job Description: Hand Plant Seedlings with shovels and hoe dads, clear brush and debris by hand and mechanical means, apply herbicides w/ 5-gallon backpack sprayers, use chain saws to clear brush and vegetation from various sites & other related Forestry Worker activities as per SOC/OES 45-4011 (onetonline.org).
Anticipated Hours of Work Per Week: 40 hrs per week.
Schedule: Monday-Friday 7:00AM-3:30PM. Offering 40 (plus) hours per week
Anticipated Period of Employment: 10/01/2026 to 05/31/2027.
