Club Security OfficerPosition Summary
The Club Security Officer is responsible for maintaining a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for guests, employees, performers, and management. Security staff are expected to monitor the club premises, prevent disturbances, enforce club policies, and respond professionally to safety and security concerns.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor entrances, exits, dance floors, bars, VIP areas, and other club areas.
- Check guests entering the establishment in accordance with club policies.
- Enforce age, dress-code, and guest-entry requirements.
- Monitor guest behavior and identify potential conflicts or safety concerns.
- Prevent fights, disturbances, harassment, and unauthorized activities.
- De-escalate conflicts professionally whenever possible.
- Respond quickly to emergencies, medical incidents, and security situations.
- Assist management and staff with evacuations or emergency procedures.
- Monitor VIP areas and protect guests, staff, and performers when necessary.
- Prevent unauthorized access to restricted areas.
- Assist with removing disruptive guests when directed by management and in accordance with applicable laws and club policy.
- Complete incident reports for significant security or safety issues.
- Communicate clearly with management, bartenders, servers, DJs, and other security personnel.
- Maintain a professional, respectful, and controlled demeanor at all times.
- Follow all applicable laws, licensing requirements, and company security policies.
Qualifications
- Previous nightclub, bar, event, hospitality, or security experience preferred.
- Strong communication and conflict-resolution skills.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Professional appearance and dependable attendance.
- Ability to stand and remain active for extended periods.
- Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and special events.
- Must meet all applicable state and local requirements for security personnel.
Standards of Conduct
Security personnel are expected to treat all guests and employees fairly and respectfully. Excessive force, harassment, discrimination, intoxication while on duty, or abuse of authority will not be tolerated.
Reporting Structure
Security Officers report directly to the Security Manager/Head of Security and Club Management and are expected to follow reasonable instructions given by authorized management personnel.
Pay: $20.00 per hour
