Duties
- Deliver comprehensive lessons across various STEM disciplines, including mathematics, biology, chemistry, physics, and engineering, tailored to diverse student needs.
- Develop and implement engaging curriculum plans that incorporate current scientific research, technology tools, and instructional best practices.
- Utilize learning technology effectively to enhance classroom instruction and facilitate interactive learning experiences.
- Assess student progress through standardized testing, project evaluations, and formative assessments; provide constructive feedback to support growth.
- Manage classroom behavior proactively to create a positive learning environment conducive to active participation and collaboration.
- Mentor students individually or in groups to foster academic growth, curiosity, and confidence in STEM subjects.
- Collaborate with colleagues on interdisciplinary projects, curriculum development, and school-wide initiatives to promote STEM literacy.
- Maintain accurate records of student performance and communicate progress regularly with parents and guardians.
- Engage in ongoing professional development related to STEM education trends, instructional design, and classroom management strategies.
- Participate in school events, science fairs, competitions, and extracurricular activities that promote STEM engagement among students.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Education with a focus on Science or Mathematics; advanced degrees or certifications in specific STEM fields are preferred.
- Proven experience teaching STEM subjects at the middle or high school level; prior classroom experience is essential.
- Strong knowledge of core STEM disciplines including algebra, geometry, trigonometry, calculus, organic chemistry, biochemistry, genetics, molecular biology, microbiology, cell biology, differential equations, discrete math, and laboratory sciences.
- Demonstrated ability to develop innovative curricula using instructional design principles and integrate learning technology effectively.
Pay: $50,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
