Opportunity Overview
As an ideal way to earn supplemental income, our staff members coordinate volunteers, packet pick-up, registration, gear check, course operations, finish aid and our post-race meal, usually involving just a couple hours of time in advance to study up on the specifics for each event, then a bright & early start on race day. Although no experience is necessary, the individuals we welcome to the team should have a crazy positive attitude, and an undeniable desire to see a job well done.
Attributes of the Successful Candidate
- Energetic, 'failure is not an option' approach to life
- Exceptional attention to detail and organization skills
- Superior problem-solving and time management skills
- Ability to multi-task without losing focus in what can sometimes be a chaotic atmosphere
- Comfortable working with PDF documents, GPS maps / devices and Dropbox
- Reliable personal transportation
- Capable of lifting / moving equipment weighing 30 - 50 lbs
- A history of participation in endurance events will be considered a major plus.

*Set-up for events at Ala Moana takes place the Friday afternoon before race day.
Compensation
Starting at $200 per event, earnings will increase based on longevity, work ethic, attitude and the successful execution of the area coordinated. In addition, all staff members receive event SWAG (race shirts & such), plus breakfast during the event, and a post-race staff celebration at a nearby restaurant.
