POSITION SUMMARY
Perform tasks involving physical labor at pool construction sites. May operate hand and power tools of all types: air hammers, earth tampers, cement mixers, small mechanical hoists, surveying and measuring equipment, and a variety of other equipment and instruments. May clean and prepare sites, dig trenches, set braces to support the sides of excavations, and clean up rubble, debris, and other waste materials. May assist other craft workers.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Report to work in a timely manner and collect all the necessary contract-related information for work scheduled that day.
- Ensure that all necessary equipment and materials are loaded for transport to jobsite.
- Clean and prepare construction sites each day and maintain them through completion. This includes making sure that each job site is left in an orderly and safe manner at the completion of a scheduled work day.
- Unload and distribute materials to location as designated by the foreman.
- Assist Foreman with wall and liner installation, plumbing, digging ditches, work concrete, and any other necessary job duties assigned.
- Ensure all tools and equipment are used properly and in a safe manner as well as performing regular preventative maintenance on these items.
QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
1-4 years of general construction experience; OR an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
