Aloha Kids Hawaiian in La Canada Flintridge, CA is looking for one kitchen manager to join our 13 person strong team. We are located on 712 Foothill Blvd. Our ideal candidate is self-driven, motivated, and engaged.
Responsibilities
- Staff Leadership: Hire, train, schedule, and mentor all back-of-house personnel to maintain a productive and positive work environment.
- Inventory & Ordering: Track stock levels, set par inventory, order supplies, and oversee safe product storage and rotation.
- Food Safety & Compliance: Enforce local health department regulations and ensure the kitchen remains sanitary and audit-ready at all times.
- Quality Control: Monitor food preparation, portion control, and presentation to meet restaurant standards.
- Cost Control: Track labor and food costs to meet budgetary goals while minimizing waste.
- Equipment Maintenance: Ensure all kitchen equipment is functioning properly and schedule routine repairs or servicing.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Kitchen Manager, Sous Chef, or in a similar back-of-house leadership role.
- Strong working knowledge of food safety regulations and certifications (e.g., ServSafe Manager).
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle high-pressure situations.
- Basic math and computer skills for budgeting and inventory software
