What are the responsibilities and job description for the Van Driver Wanted position at Aloha Independent Living Hawaii?
The Van Driver will operate an accessible and a regular agency van to transport our
consumers to medical appointments or shopping centers.
ESSENTIAL POSITION & RESPONSIBILITIES includes the following. Other duties
may be assigned:
Safely transport consumers to assigned destination
Maintain preventive maintenance and standards of safety.
Clean van and make simple types of repairs and upkeep.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential
duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge,
skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable
individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Valid Hawaii driver’s
license. Clear traffic abstract. Good driving habits. Must be familiar with the Big Island.
Personal experience with a disability preferred. Must be experienced with ramp and
wheelchair transport.
