Responsibilities
- Trim, prune, and maintain treesespecially coconut treesto promote health, safety, and visual appeal.
- Safely climb trees using proper equipment and techniques, following industry safety standards at all times.
- Assess tree health and recommend treatments or removals when necessary.
- Operate and maintain tools and equipment, including chainsaws, pole pruners, and rigging gear.
- Work collaboratively with the landscaping team to ensure seamless project execution.
- Maintain clean and safe work areas, ensuring responsible disposal of debris.
- Communicate effectively with clients, providing excellent customer service and guidance on tree care needs.
Qualifications
- Experience as a tree trimmer, with proven ability to climb and trim coconut trees.
- Knowledge of tree care techniques, safety protocols, and equipment operation.
- Physically fit and comfortable working at heights and in various weather conditions.
- Valid drivers license and reliable transportation.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Certification in arboriculture or tree climbing (such as ISA Certified Arborist) is a plus, but not required.
- Familiarity with Hawaiis native and tropical tree species is preferred.
