Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Flatbed Truck Driver to join team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting landscaping materials across various routes while ensuring timely deliveries. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, adherence to traffic regulations, and effective communication skills.
Duties
- Ensure the safe loading and unloading of cargo, adhering to proper handling procedures.
- Conduct pre-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
- Plan routes effectively to optimize delivery times while considering traffic conditions.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of mileage and fuel usage.
- Communicate with dispatchers regarding any delays or issues encountered during transport.
- Follow all safety protocols and regulations during transportation and handling of goods.
- Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, representing the company professionally.
Experience
- Proven experience in truck driving with a valid driver's license.
- Familiarity with operating refrigerated trailers, flatbed trucks, roll-off trucks, and tankers is preferred.
- Experience in route driving and delivery driving is highly desirable.
- Ability to load and unload cargo safely and efficiently.
- Strong understanding of traffic laws and regulations related to commercial driving.
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to work independently.
