Duties

• Prepare and cook breakfast items according to established recipes and menu specifications, ensuring consistency and quality.
• Operate kitchen equipment such as grills, poaching stations, braising pans, and food production appliances safely and efficiently.
• Follow food safety sanitizing procedures diligently to maintain a clean and hygienic kitchen environment.
• Assist with menu planning by suggesting new breakfast dishes or modifications based on customer preferences and seasonal ingredients.
• Manage high-volume food production during busy morning hours while adhering to portion control and recipe adherence standards.
• Handle food with care, practicing proper food handling techniques to ensure safety and quality.
• Support dietary department needs by preparing specialized meal options and accommodating dietary restrictions as required.

Skills

• Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and food service within a restaurant or catering setting.
• Strong knife skills with the ability to perform precise cuts for various ingredients.
• Knowledge of food safety management practices, including sanitizing procedures and proper food handling protocols.
• Experience with menu planning, recipe adherence, and high-volume production environments.
• Skilled in operating kitchen equipment such as grills, braising pans, poaching stations, and other culinary tools.
• Familiarity with dietary aide responsibilities, including accommodating special diets and dietary department standards.
• Excellent communication skills for serving guests efficiently and working collaboratively with team members.
