Position Summary
Aloft Bolingbrook is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Manager to lead revenue-generating efforts for the hotel. The Sales Manager will be responsible for developing new business opportunities, maintaining strong client relationships, and maximizing occupancy, group business, and overall hotel revenue. This role requires a motivated hospitality professional with strong sales, networking, and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, solicit, and secure new corporate, group, association, and leisure business opportunities.
- Develop and maintain relationships with local businesses, event planners, travel managers, and community organizations.
- Achieve and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals.
- Conduct sales calls, site tours, client presentations, and networking events.
- Prepare and negotiate contracts, proposals, and rate agreements.
- Collaborate with hotel operations teams to ensure successful execution of group and event business.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and local business developments.
- Maintain accurate sales records, forecasts, and reports using CRM and hotel systems.
- Participate in revenue strategy meetings and contribute to pricing and business development initiatives.
- Represent the hotel at trade shows, industry events, and community functions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality, Business, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum 2β3 years of hotel sales experience, preferably in a Marriott-branded or select-service hotel environment.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Strong negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and hotel sales management systems.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with hotel leadership and operations teams.
- Flexible schedule to accommodate client meetings, networking events, and occasional travel.
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of the Bolingbrook and Chicagoland corporate market.
- Experience with group sales, business travel, and local event markets.
- Familiarity with Marriott sales platforms and brand standards.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
