Commercial Roofing Estimator- Public Works

Salary: $90,000–$120,000 annually, based on experience Annual Performance Bonus

Almost Heaven Roofing is a rapidly growing commercial roofing contractor serving clients throughout Ohio and West Virginia. We specialize in commercial roof replacements, roof coating systems, preventative maintenance, repairs, leak investigations, and manufacturer-backed roofing solutions.

The Senior Commercial Roofing Estimator will be responsible for managing the complete estimating process for public and negotiated commercial roofing projects throughout Ohio and surrounding markets.

This position focuses heavily on public work, including schools, municipalities, state agencies, federal projects, and other publicly bid opportunities. The ideal candidate is experienced in reading construction documents, performing detailed takeoffs, developing accurate budgets, coordinating supplier pricing, and submitting competitive, profitable bids.

The estimator will work directly with company leadership and play a critical role in the continued growth of Almost Heaven Roofing.

• Review plans, specifications, addenda, and contract documents
• Perform complete material and labor takeoffs
• Develop accurate project estimates and budgets
• Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier pricing
• Attend pre-bid meetings and perform site visits as needed
• Prepare and submit public bids before deadlines
• Issue RFIs and review project addenda
• Maintain estimating databases and current material pricing
• Coordinate with manufacturers regarding roofing systems and assemblies
• Work with project management to ensure a smooth transition from estimating to production
• Assist with submittals, value engineering, and project planning when required
• Continuously improve estimating processes and cost accuracy

• Five or more years of commercial roofing estimating experience
• Experience estimating public works and government projects
• Ability to read architectural and structural construction drawings
• Strong knowledge of commercial roofing systems, including TPO, PVC, EPDM, modified bitumen, coatings, and sheet metal
• Experience with Bluebeam, PlanSwift, Excel, and estimating software
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills
• Strong communication skills with vendors, manufacturers, and clients
• Valid driver's license with the ability to travel to project sites throughout Ohio
