Key Responsibilities
- Personal Care: Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, grooming, dressing, and mobility/transfer assistance (using gait belts or Hoyer lifts as needed).
- Companionship: Engage clients in conversation, light hobbies, reading, and meaningful social interaction to prevent isolation.
- Homemaking & Meals: Perform light housekeeping (laundry, dishwashing, sweeping) and prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary preferences.
- Medication Reminders: Provide timely reminders for clients to take prescribed medications.
- Transportation & Errands: Assist with local grocery shopping, running errands, and accompanying clients to medical appointments.
- Client Safety: Monitor client well-being, maintain a safe living environment, and report any changes in physical or mental condition.
Qualifications & Requirements
Driver’s License & Vehicle: Must hold a valid driver's license, reliable personal vehicle, and active auto insurance suitable for mountain driving in Estes Park/Drake.
Background Check: Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
Skills: Strong communication skills, patience, and a genuine passion for serving seniors.
Certifications (Preferred, not required): CNA, HHA, PCA, or First Aid/CPR certifications are a plus. Prior caregiving or dementia care experience is preferred.
Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 25–50 lbs and assist clients with transfers safely.
