Lawn/Tree & Shrub Treatment Technician

Overview of Positions available:

1) Lawn and Tree & Shrub Treatment Technician - Full-Time (40-45 hrs weekly)

Key Responsibilities:

• Fertilize/Pesticide Applicator License is a plus; if no current license, must be able to obtain Technician certifications for Pennsylvania and Maryland.
• Must be able to maneuver and control equipment in safe, effective manner
• Must be able to operate small equipment, various hand tools, vehicles
• Must be able to treat lawns, trees and shrubs with professionalism, thoroughness and accuracy
• Ability to work shift Monday through Friday and occasional Saturdays if weather requires (March through December); Snow storm hours (December through March)
• Ability to work in Inclement Weather (Hot to Cold)
• Ability to perform heavy, manual tasks and lift up to 60 lbs
• Maintain equipment and vehicles in proper operating conditions

Performance Requirements:

• Follow direction of Division Lead and Operations Manager to carry out specific tasks for the weeks work load; take instruction to build experience in each assignment
• Minimize customer complaints with attention to detail in every job task assigned
• Performance starts with showing up to work on time, with a positive attitude, and prepared for the daily workload
• Employee performance will be evaluated by job quality, efficiency, proper behavior, and getting along with coworkers and customers

Job Schedule:

• Expected hours of operation will vary season to season
• Typical Full-Time schedule is Monday - Thursday 6:30am-5:00pm, Friday 6:30am-12:00pm with weekends occasionally due to weather or demand deadlines
• Average weekly hours (March - December) will range 40 to 45 hours
• Winter snow removal and equipment maintenance available, as well as Winter Partial Unemployment.
