Location: Almanac Brewery in Alameda, CA
Hours: Full-Time (40 hours/week)

Position Overview:
The Operations Associate is a versatile, hands-on team member supporting daily operational tasks across Almanac’s production, warehouse, and direct to consumer business. This role is central to maintaining the cleanliness, organization, and efficiency throughout the brewery, warehouse and retail spaces. Key components of the role include local deliveries in a company vehicle, maintaining customer facing spaces, sweeping and mopping warehouse and taproom event spaces as well as packaging duties.
This role is ideal for a reliable, hard-working individual who takes pride in physical work, organization, and being a key part of brewery operations from production to pint. A clean driving record and ability to drive a 16’ box truck with a lift gate and safely operate a pallet jack is a must! Forklift experience is a plus!
Key Responsibilities:
Logistics & Delivery:
- Drive company vehicles (Sprinter van or box truck) to deliver beer to taprooms and/or Bay Area accounts.
- Build, stage, and ship taproom and wholesale orders.
- Receive and verify incoming deliveries.
- Safely load and unload full kegs and other materials.
Taproom & Facilities:
- Sweep, mop, and vacuum all customer-facing areas around the property.
- Clean and maintain turf and sandboxes to ensure a safe, presentable environment.
- Perform daily spot sweeping across the premises prior to opening.
- Empty trash and recycling bins throughout the property and transport waste to dumpsters.
- Keep dumpster enclosures clean, organized, and free of debris.
- Assist with event setup and breakdown, including post-event cleaning and reset.
- Reorganize spaces after events to maintain a consistent, guest-ready appearance.
- Water Almanac plants on a regular basis.
Packaging & Production Support:
- Assist with general packaging line operations.
- Pack out cans, wrap pallets, FIFO product.
- Wrap finished pallets of cans and kegs.
- Accurately FIFO (First-In, First-Out) and store product.
- Dispose of out-of-code product (dumping kegs and cases).
Warehouse & Facility Maintenance:
- Operate the company vehicle for local routes, including delivering finished products to various taprooms and dropping off raw ingredients to our contracting partners.
- Operate forklifts to load/unload trucks and move materials safely.
- Operate scissor lift to conduct facility maintenance.
- Organize and clean warehouse and back dock daily.
- Reset and reorganize the warehouse after weekend events.
- Pallatizing finished goods.
Inventory & Record Keeping:
Ensure all received and stored inventory is rotated using FIFO practices to maintain freshness and reduce waste.

- Assist with inventory organization as well as counts for finished goods, packaging, and raw materials. Maintain and communicate accurate documentation of all completed tasks and deliveries.
Qualifications:
- Valid CA driver’s license and clean driving record is a must!
- Forklift certification (or willingness/ability to be certified).
- Ability to lift/move up to 160 lbs (with dolly assistance).
- Experience in warehousing, delivery, or brewery operations preferred.
- Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently or in a team.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Must provide proof of valid California Driver’s License, CA vehicle registration and automobile insurance.
- Must provide proof of a clean driving record.
- Must pass post-offer, pre-employment background check.
- Ability to engage in physical activities and manual labor where prolonged standing, walking, & heavy lifting is part of the day-to-day.
- Ability to routinely lift and move heavy objects, including 30 lb cases and full kegs of beer up to 100 lbs.
- Ability to safely and efficiently work in a manufacturing setting with wide temperature ranged environment and close quartered environment.
