What are the responsibilities and job description for the Distribution Coordinator position at Almac Group?
Almac Group is currently seeking a Distribution Coordinator for our Durham, NC location. The Distribution Coordinator is responsible for the effective coordination of the processing and shipment of distribution orders received into the Distribution department. This will involve prioritizing shipping orders, liaising with Project Services, communicating with customers, and helping with the preparation of Distribution Instructions

- Plan and monitor client protocol(s) workload daily to meet the agreed timelines for each distribution order.
- Serve as main point of contact for Distribution department involving any shipment queries.
- Monitor the performance of the logistics department for each study and provide reports on a regular basis to the Logistics Supervisor.
- Assist in the research and preparation of Quality Events as applicable.
- Assist in the generation and review of Distribution Instructions in the Logistics department.
- Monitor Proof of Delivery (POD) information entered for distribution shipments in the COSMOS distribution system.
- Investigate and reconcile orders that are on hold.
- Serve as the Distribution/Logistics representative in customer telecons and meetings.
Required Education:
- High School or equivalent
- Up to 1 year or more in a professional office
- Pharmaceutical or Distribution experience preferred.
