Job Title: Quality Inspector II
Location: Simi Valley CA
Shift: 1st Shift – 5:00 am – 3:30 pm
Type: Contract 6 Months
Must Haves: AS9102 FAIR knowledge, basic proficiency in computers, Teamwork
Job Summary:
The Quality Inspector II performs inspections of components, parts, and products throughout the production process to ensure compliance with established quality and reliability standards. The role identifies moderately complex quality issues and contributes to process improvements, quality assurance documentation, and internal audits.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct visual, mechanical, and dimensional inspections of electronic and electro-mechanical assemblies and subassemblies.
- Inspect products, materials, and components at various stages of production for compliance with quality specifications.
- Utilize inspection tools such as ring gauges, calipers, torque wrenches, micrometers, height gauges, pin/block gauges, surface plates, and comparators.
- Participate in analysis of statistical data to confirm compliance or detect deviations.
- Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and parts lists using GD&T principles.
- Prepare detailed documentation for acceptance/rejection of inspected items.
- Perform internal audits and follow-ups on corrective actions.
- Ensure adherence to ISO 9001 and AS9100 standards (Aerospace/Defense/Space industries).
- Identify and report inefficiencies or quality concerns in design or processes.
- Assist in maintaining technical quality assurance procedures.
- Ensure consistent, punctual attendance and be flexible with work schedules, including potential nights/weekends.
Required Qualifications / Must-Have Skills:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 2 – 5 years of quality inspection experience in manufacturing or aerospace industries.
- Strong knowledge of standard inspection tools and measurement techniques.
- Experience interpreting blueprints, drawings, and GD&T.
- Familiarity with casting, forging, molding, stainless steel, and electronic components.
- Working knowledge of ISO 9001 and AS9100 standards.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
