Product Repair Technician

Position Overview

The Product Repair Technician is responsible for performing inspections, teardowns, overhauls, functional testing, troubleshooting, and repairs on customer-returned equipment in compliance with regulatory requirements. This role ensures efficient repair services that support company and departmental objectives while maintaining high standards of documentation, quality, and safety.

Must-Have Qualifications

• Ability to perform teardowns, overhauls, and functional testing of various repair station products and components.
• Ability to use a computer and read/understand manuals, blueprints, written work instructions, and procedures.
• Strong ability to recognize and resolve typical problems by evaluating options and selecting appropriate solutions.

Preferred Certifications

• J-STD-001
• IPC-610

Core Responsibilities

• Perform teardowns, overhauls, and functional testing of repair station equipment.
• Ensure all repair work is completed per the correct document revision and established procedures.
• Support development and implementation of product improvement initiatives.
• Inspect, test, troubleshoot, and repair shop equipment as needed.
• Complete required training to maintain technical proficiency.
• Document all repairs, testing, and recertifications per regulatory, customer, and departmental standards.
• Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
• Work nights, weekends, or extended hours as required.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Job Specifications

Education

• High School Diploma or Secondary Certificate preferred.
• Vocational training, apprenticeships, or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
• 2–5 years of relevant product repair, troubleshooting, or overhaul experience.

Skills

• Ability to read and follow manuals, blueprints, and all written work instructions.
• Proficient with hand tools and electronic test equipment.
• Strong technical knowledge in product repair and troubleshooting to component level.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong computer proficiency.
• Ability to identify and solve typical problems using established options.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $26.60 - $31.00 per hour
