Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and creative Art Instructor to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will inspire children and adolescents through engaging visual arts classes, fostering creativity, self-expression, and the development of technical artistic skills.
This role operates in an environment focused on artistic growth and holistic learning, promoting both creative exploration and technical discipline. Prior university-level experience is preferred to enhance instructional quality and curriculum development.
Responsibilities
- Deliver instruction in visual arts (drawing, painting, color theory, crafts, and related techniques)
- Foster a positive, safe, and inclusive learning environment
- Prepare and manage all materials and resources required for each session
- Teach techniques step-by-step, adapted to students’ age and skill level
- Provide constructive feedback to support artistic development
- Monitor and document student participation, progress, and attendance
- Collaborate with staff to enhance lesson plans and ensure program consistency
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace at all times
Educational Background (Preferred)
- Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA)
- Bachelor’s degree in Visual Arts, Art Education, or related field
- University-level studies in Art or related disciplines
Qualifications
- Specialization in Visual Arts
- Experience working with children and adolescents
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Previous teaching or instructional experience
- Solid knowledge of artistic techniques, principles, and methodologies
- Ability to motivate, inspire, and engage students
- Creative and adaptable mindset
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team
- Level 2 Background Check (FDLE/FBI) and CPR/First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain
- Bilingual (English/Spanish)
