Sugar Cane Field workers - 33 temporary positions; approximately 10 months; job to begin 03/15/26 through 01/15/27; Perform routine manual labor in sugar cane fields under close supervision, including planting, cultivating, and harvesting sugar cane using hand tools and employer-provided equipment. Assist with basic, routine field tasks associated with sugar cane production, such as clearing fields of debris, loading harvested cane, and general field upkeep. Workers may ride on employer-provided equipment as passengers but will not be responsible for the independent operation, repair, or maintenance of machinery. No supervisory duties are involved. All tasks are routine, repetitive, and entry-level in nature. Workers receive brief on-the-job orientation and instruction after hire; no formal or pre-employment training is required. $14.03 per hour. 40 hrs a week. M-F; 7 AM-4 PM base schedule, but as with all agricultural work, it is influenced by the weather. OT may vary but is not guaranteed; Three (3) months of experience performing routine agricultural field labor. All work tools, supplies, and equipment will be provided at no charge. Housing and transportation will be provided to workers who cannot reasonably return to their permanent residence at the end of the work day; transportation and subsistence expenses to the work site will be provided by the employer upon completion of 50% of the work contract, or earlier, if appropriate; employer guarantees to offer three-fourths (3/4) of the total work hours listed in the contract. Alma Plantation, LLC will provide employment to any qualified, eligible U.S. workers who apply to the employer until 50 percent of the period of the work contract has elapsed, which is August 15, 2026.
