Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our team in creating exceptional coffee experiences for our customers. As a Barista, you will be responsible for crafting high-quality beverages, providing outstanding customer service, and maintaining a clean and inviting café environment. This role requires a blend of technical skills, creativity, and a love for coffee and food service.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages and food items with precision and care.
- Operate the Aloha POS or Micros POS systems for order processing and payment handling.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including equipment, counters, and seating areas.
- Provide excellent customer service by engaging with customers, taking orders accurately, and addressing any inquiries or concerns.
- Ensure compliance with food safety standards and proper food handling procedures during preparation and service.
- Manage time effectively to ensure timely service during peak hours while maintaining quality standards.
- Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels of coffee beans, pastries, and other supplies.
- Collaborate with team members to create a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and communication.
Experience
- Previous barista experience or background in the coffee industry is preferred but not mandatory.
- Familiarity with food preparation techniques and food safety regulations is essential.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse clientele.
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and retail math calculations.
- Experience in cashiering and cash handling procedures is beneficial.
