Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Alma, MI, for a Director of Finance/Controller. The key responsibilities include leading financial operations, managing accounting functions, preparing budgets, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. The role requires overseeing payroll processing, generating financial reports, and providing strategic financial insights. Qualifications
- Strong expertise in Financial Planning, Budgeting, Forecasting, and Financial Analysis
- Experience with Accounting Practices, Financial Reporting, Compliance, and Audit Procedures
- Proficiency in using Financial Management Software and Advanced Excel Skills
- Leadership and Team Management abilities, with excellent communication and decision-making skills
- Strong problem-solving, organizational, and analytical skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s degree or CPA designation preferred)
- Previous experience in higher education finance or non-profit organizations is a plus
