Duties
- Perform a variety of massage techniques including Swedish, deep tissue, sports massage, prenatal massage, and lymphatic drainage treatments to meet individual client needs.
- Conduct thorough patient assessments to understand their health history, current concerns, and treatment goals.
- Communicate effectively with clients to explain treatment plans, gather feedback, and ensure comfort throughout sessions.
- Maintain detailed records of each session, including techniques used and client responses, in compliance with privacy regulations.
- Educate clients on self-care practices and recommend appropriate follow-up treatments or referrals when necessary.
- Ensure all equipment and treatment areas are sanitized and maintained according to health standards.
- Stay current with industry trends, certifications such as CPR, and new massage techniques to continually enhance service quality.
Experience
- Licensed massage therapist with a knowledge of various massage modalities such as Swedish, deep tissue, lymphatic drainage, etc.
- Prior experience working in massage settings is preferred, but we are willing to train recent graduates with their MBLEX certification.
- Excellent patient communication skills with the ability to build trust and rapport quickly.
- Certification in CPR and first aid is required; ongoing education in massage therapy techniques is preferred.
