What are the responsibilities and job description for the Safety Captain position at Ally Waste Services LLC?
Description
In addition to your regular duties as a Driver or Driver's Assistant, Safety Captain duties include but are not limited to:
- Safely and legally operate company vehicles*, as well as advise others
- Provide safety leadership and establish a safety culture within their location
- Communicate and carry out company safety policies as instructed by Safety Department
- Ensure that the Team is using all proper PPE including uniforms and steel toe, puncture resistant boots
- Lead daily pre-shift safety talk and stretches
- Meet regularly with the Safety Director and fellow Safety Captains to review safety deficiencies and make recommendations for improvement for your location and others
- Partner with Supervisors ensuring all safety inspections are done monthly
- Follow all safety rules and regulations as well as all company policies and procedures; uses/wears all required PPE
*Only if authorized and insured to drive company vehicles.
