The Digital Product Owner is a key member of Ally's Digital Transformation Auto Team. The Auto Digital Product Owner will lead product and customer journey solutions around the entire auto customer lifecycle including enrollment, digital adoption, consent management, communication, enhancements, and delivery, while also partnering with businesses to deliver solutions and messaging with customer-obsessed look and language.

The Work Itself

  • Drive engagement with fellow product owners, stakeholders, and subject matter experts to:
    • Create and enhance digital capabilities
    • Develop integrated roadmaps to delivery capabilities, which best support business strategies
    • Advocate for Consumer Auto needs with enterprise digital programs
  • Actively partner with senior management to create product roadmaps that focus on optimization, innovation, and the customer experience.
  • Manage delivery schedules and timelines across multiple teams, including product development, digital analytics, data collection, and communication platform teams.
  • Develop stories, guide development, conduct production validation.
  • Drive scrum teams to meet product expectations through effective communication that bridges business needs and technology capability requirements.
  • Leverages key business metrics, performance data and industry trends to recommend and lead enhancements to these features and tools.
  • Has deep insights into digital content, digital journeys, and digital personalization leveraged by the best digital competitors and world class digital companies.
  • Cogently presents strategy and content recommendations to partners across the organization, including senior and executive level management.
  • Lead requirements gathering session with business partners. Work with cross-functional teams to identify key business requirements.
  • Work closely with design/usability and content teams to clearly define the user experience specifications.
  • Triages production issues with business and technology partners to ensure swift and satisfactory resolution with minimal impact to users and the business.
  • Ensure legal, risk, compliance, brand and accessibility teams are engrained in the agile process and providing meaningful review/input.
  • Creates a consistent, proactive reporting routine for standard product updates.
  • Remains engaged in all steps of the enhancement and sprint process, including business validation/testing and participation in regularly scheduled technology releases.
  • Partner with business management and finance to define capability metrics and conduct ROI analysis.
  • Be willing and able to work on projects of all sizes and importance.
  • Conduct industry competitive analysis and stay informed on new industry trends as well as regulatory guidance that may impact any changes to the customer experience or product offering.

The Skills You Bring

Required Experience:
  • Background and working knowledge of auto industry and/or financial services experience preferred.
  • 3 years of professional digital communications experience.
  • Flexibility to adjust to multiple demands, shifting priorities, ambiguity, and rapid change.
  • Experience driving change and consensus across organizations; comfortable leading through influence.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic, fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
  • Highly organized and thinks ahead.
  • Strong analytical problem solver.
  • Highly effective communicator (verbal and written), able to present to senior level executives and business partners.
  • Proven experience in working in Agile/Scrum product development lifecycles.
  • Minimum BA/BS degree in business, marketing, technology, or related field or equivalent experience,

Preferred Experience:

  • 4 years' experience with a focus on digital communications.
  • Familiarity with customer experience - B2C servicing
  • Native mobile app experience

Base Pay Range : $70000 - $120000 USD

An individual's position in the range is determined by the specific role, the scope and responsibilities of the role, work experience, education, certification(s), training, and additional qualifications. We review internal pay, the competitive market, and business environment prior to extending an offer.

Incentive Compensation: This position is eligible to participate in our annual incentive plan.
