What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director, Executive Communications position at Ally Financial?
The Director, Executive Communications will serve as a trusted partner and speechwriter for the company’s most senior leaders and be a master storyteller and “editor in chief” for the external communications team. Working collaboratively with partners across public relations, internal communications, content, social media, and marketing, this leader will develop presentations, speeches, messaging and integrated communications to amplify the voices of leaders and reinforce the strength of the Ally brand.
The ideal candidate understands and embodies the strategic value of communications as an advisor to the business, is experienced in working directly with executive leaders and their teams, and has the ability to craft enterprise-wide narratives that reflect Ally’s “Do It Right” ethos and obsessive commitment to customers, employees and communities.
This individual needs to be passionate about working with C-Suite leaders and able to learn their unique voices. The role will be for crafting speeches and corresponding visual assets for use in high profile events that support the company's key priorities and protect its reputation.
This role works from the Ally office in Charlotte NC - hybrid work schedule is 3 days in office and 2 days from home.
