This position provides Automation-I&E support to East Texas Operations – Haynesville Shale. Job Responsibilities:
- Work as a team to maintain and install Automation-I&E equipment such as PLC components, wired and wireless transmitters, communications equipment, HMI’s, etc.
- Safety conscious, team oriented, self-starter, works well with minimal supervision.
- Responsible for engaging in and promoting a strong safety culture.
- Use SCADA systems to monitor operation.
- Perform Lock-Out/Tag-Out process on required equipment.
- Other operations duties as assigned.
- Ability to install, troubleshoot and repair Allen Bradley PLC’s, ABB TotalFlow’s, Fisher ROC’s, transmitters, etc.
- Ability to troubleshoot electrical circuits and components.
- Knowledge of communication equipment such as Freewave, XetaWave, RedLion, ABB, GE MDS.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in computer skills such as Microsoft Office, Excel, Outlook, etc.
- Willingness to learn and take direction from experienced facility personnel.
- Understand O&G production equipment and operations.
- Must be able to get certified to work at heights using appropriate fall protection.
- Must be able to take a Fit Test and be able to work in H2S environment wearing an SCBA.
- Must be able to work in extreme outdoor temperatures.
- Once adequately trained, contractors will be expected to work a call-out rotation (nights, weekends, holidays).
- Required to work late as needed.
- Willingness to learn and take direction from experienced Automation-I&E personnel.
- PLC: Allen Bradley Micro 800 series connected components software
- Data Collection: Red Lion DA70 Crimson 3.2 and Crimson 3.1 data collection and screen building, using Sparkplug MQTT driver for Ignition
- Oil and Gas Experience: Plunger, choke control, separator dump controls, pressure management, amine plant control, safety system control
- Electric Actuator Knowledge: Rotorx for chokes, Fisher Easy Drives for dumps, Vanzandt actuators, Kimray electric actuator
- Basic Knowledge: PLC, ladder logic and function block, reading P&ID
