What are the responsibilities and job description for the SCHOOL BASED CLINICIAN position at Allwell Behavioral Health Services?
The School Based Clinician provides school-based and crisis-oriented counseling services to youth and engages families. Responsible for direct and indirect clinical services. Completes and submits all required documentation. Provides community education and agency consultation along with emergency services as needed and directed.
Responsibilities Include:
- Provides direct clinical services with students in a school setting.
- Coordinate and participate in development of individualized comprehensive client treatment plans.
- Engages in evidence-based practices to teach life skills including but not limited to: Positive coping skills, anger management, bullying, positive self-esteem, social skills, anxiety and depression.
- Assists clients and families in identifying and accessing community resources.
- Provide coordination and assistance in crisis intervention and stabilization.
- Assist client in gaining formal and informal community and personal networking.
- Work closely with school staff and attend meetings to facilitate ongoing communication.
- Ensures the timely completion of all documentation.
- Maintain relevant documentation and provide statistical reporting.
- Complete crisis intervention and stabilization as needed and directed.
