What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Chart Abstractor (Remote in Jacksonville, FL) position at Alluvion Staffing?
Alluvion is in search of Remote Certified Medical Assistants to provide medical abstraction and indexing services. The ideal candidate will have experience working within a medical office as a CNA or CMA handling Electronic Medical Records (EMR).
Working hours are Monday-Friday 8:00-5:00pm
Ideal candidates will be in driving distance to Jacksonville for equipment pick up, but other locations will be considered.
Qualifications
- Availability to work fulltime 40 hours per week.
- Excellent computer and communication skills are a must.
- The applicant must be self-motivated and have the ability to problem solve and work independently.
- Needs to be flexible and able to effectively accommodate changes in business and account needs as they arise.
Experience Required
- Medical documentation
- EMR and Excel Preferred
- Medical transcription; nursing; cardiology; multi-specialty; and billing and coding
- Understand and exhibit a good faith effort to maintain confidentiality of patient information in compliance with HIPAA and HITECH policies
- Log information abstracted from medical charts into a database management system for tracking and auditing purposes.
- Collect; analyze; index and abstract clinical information from medical records obtained from a paper chart to an EHR system or from EHR to EHR.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $16.50 per hour
