Responsibilities
- Configure and customize Epic modules to meet client-specific workflow requirements, translating user needs into detailed system specifications.
- Analyze current-state clinical and operational workflows to identify gaps, inefficiencies, and opportunities for optimization.
- Design and document system configurations, build specifications, and workflow decisions for assigned Epic applications.
- Lead and participate in working groups with clinicians, operations staff, and IT stakeholders to gather requirements and validate designs.
- Perform unit testing, integrated testing, and regression testing to ensure system functionality meets design intent.
- Support end-users during build, training, and go-live phases — including at-the-elbow support and issue resolution.
- Collaborate with Epic representatives and internal subject matter experts to align on configuration decisions.
- Maintain thorough documentation for all system modifications, enhancements, and workflow decisions throughout the project lifecycle.
- Mentor junior analysts and contribute to team knowledge-sharing and professional development.
- Analytical thinking — you can break down complex clinical workflows and translate them into clear, configurable system specifications.
- Workflow optimization mindset — you look beyond the immediate request to identify how processes can be improved, not just replicated.
- Collaboration with clinicians — you are comfortable in rooms with nurses, physicians, and administrators, earning their trust through competence and communication.
- Healthcare operations knowledge — you understand how health systems function and how system design decisions affect frontline care delivery.
- Attention to detail and documentation discipline — configuration decisions are traceable and well-documented.
- Ability to manage multiple workstreams and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced project environment.
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s in Health Administration, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- Eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
- At least 4 years of hands-on experience with Epic system applications.
- Active Epic certification in one or more modules relevant to your area of expertise.
- Experience leading workgroups and engaging stakeholders across clinical and operational functions.
- Willingness to travel to client sites as required by project phase.
- Proven leadership in change management or large-scale Epic implementation projects.
- Experience mentoring junior analysts or serving as a workstream lead.
- Deep knowledge of Epic AURA, Care Everywhere, or laboratory workflows.
- Demonstrated ability to manage ambiguity and deliver in complex, multi-stakeholder environments.
- Strong communication skills with experience presenting to clinical and executive audiences.
