As our Culinary Director, you will oversee all aspects of dining services, leading both kitchen and dining room teams to deliver exceptional hospitality and memorable meals. You’ll combine culinary creativity with operational expertise to ensure excellence in food quality, safety, and service.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Team Management
- Lead, mentor, and inspire kitchen and dining room staff
- Foster a positive, hospitality-driven culture
- Schedule, train, and develop team members
Menu Development & Execution
- Create and deliver a weekly rotating menu of healthy, seasonal, and engaging meals
- Incorporate resident preferences and dietary needs
- Ensure consistent quality, presentation, and flavor
Operations & Purchasing
- Purchase food, equipment, and supplies within budget
- Manage vendor relationships
- Oversee inventory control and cost management
Compliance & Quality Assurance
- Maintain full compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations
- Ensure food production, storage, and service areas meet health and safety standards
- Uphold sanitation and food safety protocols at all times
What We’re Looking For
- Proven culinary leadership experience (senior living, healthcare, hospitality, or similar environment preferred)
- Strong knowledge of nutrition, dietary accommodations, and food safety standards
- Experience managing budgets, purchasing, and inventory systems
- ServSafe certification (or ability to obtain)
- A servant-leader mindset and genuine passion for serving seniors
