Cleaning and Sanitation
- Clean and sanitize resident apartments, bathrooms, and common areas according to facility schedules.
- Dust, vacuum, sweep, mop, and polish floors and surfaces.
- Clean windows, mirrors, furniture, fixtures, and equipment.
- Empty trash and replace liners in resident rooms and common areas.
- Clean and disinfect high-touch surfaces regularly.
- Maintain cleanliness of public restrooms and employee areas.
- Follow infection control and sanitation procedures at all times.
- Collect, wash, dry, fold or hang, and distribute resident and facility laundry as assigned.
- Ensure resident clothing and linens are handled with care and returned promptly.
- Report damaged linens or clothing to the appropriate supervisor.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of laundry areas.
- Treat residents with dignity, respect, and compassion.
- Respond courteously to resident requests and report concerns to nursing or management staff.
- Respect resident privacy and confidentiality at all times.
- Help create a positive and welcoming atmosphere for residents and visitors.
- Follow all facility policies, OSHA guidelines, and safety procedures.
- Properly use cleaning chemicals and equipment according to manufacturer instructions.
- Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, accidents, or unusual observations immediately.
- Participate in required training and staff meetings.
- Follow HIPAA regulations and maintain confidentiality of resident information.
- Work cooperatively with all departments to ensure a positive resident experience.
- Assist with special cleaning projects as assigned.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and coworkers.
- Maintain a professional appearance and attitude while on duty.

- Must be able to move intermittently throughout the workday.
- Must be able to cope with the mental and emotional stress of the position.
