Clinical Technician

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Clinical Technician to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a background in patient care, bonus if it's in the field of optometry but easily trainable. This role is essential for providing high-quality support to medical professionals and ensuring the well-being of patients between two optical settings.

Duties

• Assist healthcare professionals in delivering patient care by performing clinical tasks.
• Pre-test and prepare patients for the doctor's exam.
• Verify any vision or medical insurance.
• Learn to file and bill both vision and medical insurance.
• Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality.
• Enjoy your position and daily tasks which we call work!
• Work with Optical staff and doctors to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Keep medical equipment and work areas clean and organized.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in patient care or customer service.
• Ability to greet, smile and make patients feel comfortable.
• Ability to lift patients safely and effectively while adhering to safety protocols.
• Experience working with children in a healthcare environment is a plus.
• Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality.
• Great communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
• Any extra certification or training relevant to clinical technician roles is advantageous but absolutely not necessary. We can train and offer more certifications when ready!

Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
