Job Title: Staff Accountant
Job Summary:
We are looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to join our accounting team. This role is ideal for someone with 2–5 years of experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in accuracy, organization, and continuous improvement.
As a Staff Accountant, you will play a key role in supporting day-to-day accounting operations, maintaining financial records, and assisting with month-end and year-end close processes. You’ll collaborate cross-functionally and contribute to ensuring the integrity of our financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and maintain general ledger entries in a systematic and organized manner
- Assist with month-end and year-end close processes
- Prepare supporting schedules
- Reconcile bank statements and balance sheet accounts
- Support accounts payable (AP) to ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies
- Support accounts receivable (AR) activities, including building strong relationships with customers and third-party agencies to deliver high-quality service
- Assist in preparing and maintaining documentation for annual audits and monthly tax filings
- Analyze financial data to identify discrepancies, trends, and areas for improvement
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 2 – 5 years of accounting experience (public or industry)
- Strong understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)
- Proficiency in accounting software
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, formulas)
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
